Pickleball

A game once played using makeshift racquets out of wooden paddles, pickleball has evolved into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for all players, beginner or experienced. After gaining extreme popularity and becoming a widespread activity, a corporation was formed in 1972 to protect the game. First beginning in high school and college physical education programs, pickleball has shown immense growth in the past five years in gym and recreation facilities. Playing either as singles or doubles, pickleball uses ping-pong type racquets, a wiffle-type ball, tennis-like rules and a whole lot of fun!
